CNC Machinist

The Role Randstad is seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented CNC Operator to join the team of a highly respected manufacturing client in Hauppauge, NY. The ideal candidate isn’t just a "button pusher"—we are looking for someone with a good technical foundation in both milling and turning who can handle their own setups and basic programming.

salary: $62,000 - $83,000 per year

• Setup & Operation: Set up and operate CNC Mill and Lathe machines according to blueprints and technical drawings.
• Programming: Perform basic programming and G-code/M-code edits at the controller to optimize machine performance.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure they meet strict tolerances.
• Maintenance: Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
• Safety: Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to all OSHA and shop safety guidelines.
