Overview
Location: Hauppauge, NY |
Schedule: Full Time, 35 hours per week |

Salary Range: $23.63/Hour
The Opportunity:
Family and Children s Association (FCA) is seeking a Certified Recovery Peer Advocate to join the THRIVE team, Long Island s first recovery center, dedicated to providing support, resources, and empowerment to individuals in recovery and their families.
- Implement skills and needs assessments for individuals in recovery (PIR) to identify their strengths and areas for growth.
- Collaborate with recoverees to develop individualized recovery plans and track progress toward goals.
- Provide mentoring and assist recoverees in identifying and overcoming obstacles to their recovery.
- Match recoverees with appropriate resources, programs, and support services to meet their specific needs.
- Work with the Recovery Services Coordinator to plan and facilitate programs, groups, and activities for recoverees.
- Assist in recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers, while promoting and facilitating special events that encourage cooperation and teamwork.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Completion of Recovery Coach Training Academy (minimum 28 hours).
- Knowledge of recovery and community resources.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Valid and clean driver s license.
