Description
Maxxima is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Engineering Lab Technician full-time to support our engineering team in testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining products and equipment. This role plays a key part in supporting product development and ensuring products meet quality, safety, and performance standards. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on technical work, thrives in a lab environment, and works well in a collaborative, fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct tests and inspections on products and equipment to ensure compliance with quality control and safety standards
- Troubleshoot, repair, and rework defective products and equipment, including soldering when required
- Assist engineers with the development, testing, and improvement of new and existing products, including small-batch assembly
- Operate lab equipment to test products according to engineering specifications
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of tests, inspections, and repairs
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the engineering lab and equipment
- Provide technical support to other departments as needed
- Participate in special projects and all activities related to product development and maintenance
- Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of experience in a technical or engineering lab role involving testing and repair of electronic products
- Proficiency using tools and equipment for testing and repairing products
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills with high attention to detail
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
- Familiarity with analog and digital circuits preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, with the ability to follow ISO 9001 quality procedures
- Knowledge of industry standards such as UL and ETL a plus
