Glass & Glazing Estimator

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients to secure new accounts.
• Conduct job walks, attend pre-bid meetings, and evaluate project requirements.
• Review specifications, architectural drawings, and contract documents to define the scope of work.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs and prepare comprehensive project estimates.
• Solicit pricing from vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors while negotiating favorable terms.
• Prepare and submit professional proposals tailored to project requirements.
• Coordinate subcontractor quotations and issue purchase orders as needed.
• Create and manage detailed cost databases, including labor and material unit pricing.
• Monitor awarded contracts, estimate extra work items or change orders, and track project costs to ensure profitability.
• Prepare post-project analysis, comparing estimated vs. actual costs.

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the architectural glazing industry.
• Expertise in curtain wall bidding is required.
• Proficient in Win Bid Pro, Bluebeam, and other construction estimating software.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, architectural fabrication, and structural drawings.
• Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Self-motivated, results-driven, and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience in estimating and coordinating both small and large-scale construction projects.
