Overview
Piper Companies is looking for a Product Manager – Deposit Accounts to support the continued growth and optimization of consumer and small business deposit portfolios for a leading credit union. This individual will be responsible for managing product strategy, development, and performance across deposit offerings, ensuring products meet profitability, growth, and member experience objectives while remaining compliant with regulatory requirements. The Product Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for deposit product management, providing subject matter expertise to internal partners and external stakeholders and driving cross‑functional execution of product initiatives aligned with organizational strategy.
Responsibilities- Conduct ongoing reviews of existing consumer and small business deposit products to ensure market competitiveness and alignment with industry trends
- Identify opportunities for new deposit products and enhancements to existing offerings
- Prepare and execute new product launches and significant feature enhancements
- Collaborate with senior leadership to establish and execute the strategic direction of assigned deposit portfolios
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps and tactical plans supporting portfolio objectives
- Serve as a subject matter expert for the Retail line of business, providing guidance on product functionality, applications, and exception pricing
- Lead cross‑functional teams to deliver effective solutions, coordinating resources across marketing, operations, compliance, finance, and administrative teams
- Manage annual budgeting and strategic planning activities, including deposit flows, fee income, and budget variance analysis
- Partner with Finance to forecast and monitor key performance drivers such as:
- Accounts and households
- Deposit balances and margins
- Fee income and expenses
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and risk management requirements
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by immediate supervisor
- Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related discipline preferred) OR a minimum of eight (8) years of directly related experience
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in:
- Product management
- Product development
- Product marketing
- Intermediate knowledge of:
- Consumer deposit products
- Small business deposit products
- $145,000 - $160,000
