CBIZ Talent Solutions is assisting their valued construction client in Suffolk County with their search for an Accounting Administrator to join their growing business. Own day-to-day construction accounting with a focus on AP, AR/billing, sales/use tax, and collections. Work cross‑functionally, communicate clearly, and deliver accurate, on‑time results in a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities Accounts Payable- Verify and enter vendor invoices against POs; resolve variances.
- Reconcile vendor statements; prepare biweekly check runs with management.
- Manage monthly corporate credit card packets (coding and payment).
- Issue lien waivers for PO payments over $25K.
- Ensure correct tax allocation on AR/AP invoices.
- File monthly sales/use tax returns; support audits as needed.
- Manage construction billing in Textura/Procore (and company ERP).
- Create and maintain SOVs; generate monthly AIA requisitions.
- Oversee the monthly billing cycle end‑to‑end, including retainage.
- Update SOVs for approved change orders.
- Reconcile lien waivers with invoices; route for signature/notary.
- Perform collections on outstanding invoices.
- 5+ years of construction accounting experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- ERP experience required/preferred;
Procore and Textura experience strongly preferred. - Exceptional attention to detail; strong written and verbal communication and follow‑up.
