Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

  • Fri 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
  • Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the education location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or prohibited items.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or observations as required by Allied Universal and the client site.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services during incidents when necessary.
  • Follow all protocols for handling and carrying a firearm in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
  • Support a secure environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors by providing a visible armed presence and addressing security-related concerns as they arise.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Supervisory experience is required.
  • Must have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security experience.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
