- Business Development & Sales Growth
- Build and maintain a network of sources to identify new sales leads and business opportunities.
- Conduct cold calls, follow up on leads, and schedule meetings to develop new business relationships.
- Generate and qualify sales leads through research, networking, and referrals.
- Present and demonstrate company services to potential customers based on their specific waste management needs.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to maximize revenue and expand market share.
- Achieve and exceed sales quotas, contributing to company growth objectives.
- Customer Relationship Management
- Communicate with customers to identify their needs and recommend appropriate products or services.
- Establish and nurture long-term customer relationships through effective communication and follow-up.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing support, issue resolution, and service updates.
- Maintain communication with current and previous customers to inform them of new services, upgrades, and promotions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, including calls, meetings, proposals, and contract details.
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and territory performance updates.
- Analyze sales trends and market conditions to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Provide feedback to the Sales and Marketing Manager regarding customer needs and competitor activity.
- Work closely with the sales and operations teams to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the Revenue Manager to ensure all sales are made at profitable rates.
- Assist in the development of marketing campaigns and promotional strategies.
- Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Other Responsibilities
- Stay up to date with industry trends, competitive offerings, and market dynamics.
- Attend networking events, trade shows, and community engagements to expand business opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required;
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is a plus. - Experience:
2+ years of experience in outside sales, preferably in waste management, logistics, or a related industry. - Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Proven ability to build relationships and close deals.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills with a results-driven mindset.
- Ability to work independently and manage a sales pipeline effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Cloud applications.
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales tracking tools is a plus
