All about On Demand:
You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM) and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those seeking a personalized work schedule. As an On-Demand TM, you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but you can create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members (via our myTime mobile scheduling app).

When you choose to pick up a shift, reliable and prompt attendance is necessary. You will be expected to pick up at least one shift every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours). Flexibility may be granted in certain circumstances, but you must respond to our outreach attempts to confirm interest in working shifts. If you do not respond or do not work at least one shift within 5 months, employment may be terminated.

Communication and ability to work when our business demands it are critical to your success. If offered a position as an On-Demand TM, you will be required to attend a Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term structured training schedule. After that, use the myTime app to pick shifts.

Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Knowledgeable about in-store and digital services and solutions that drive adoption and loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy at checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring quality.

What we are looking for:

Skills and requirements:
We offer training, but the following skills help from the start: effective communication, staying focused in a fast-paced environment, welcoming attitude, attention to detail, willingness to educate guests about products and services, ability to operate technology devices and handheld scanners, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities (typical day):
Demonstrate a service culture prioritizing the guest experience; greet guests; assist guests in resolving needs; know tools, products, and services; thank guests; scan and bag items accurately and in compliance with safety standards; minimize guest wait time; inform guests about brand launches, store activities, and events; explain loyalty benefits and assist with enrollment; help guests use Wallet and Target App features;

handle returns following policies; de-escalate situations with leaders as needed; provide easy and accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests; keep a clean workspace; stock supplies during open hours; maintain safety and compliance; support guest services and cash office processes as needed; perform other duties as needed.
