Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching training and actively listening to associates touring stores and providing feedback. Tours to teach, communicating and collaborating with all levels of associates regarding store operations utilizing technology business initiatives, merchandising and company direction. Introducing and leading company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicating business objectives to teams effectively.

Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following the One Best Way (OBW) service model, managing and supporting customer service initiatives, resolving customer needs, complaints and issues. Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating PL statements, managing and assisting in budgeting, forecasting and controlling expenses, ensuring effective merchandise presentation, inventory flow and operational processes.

Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations and providing recognition. Coordinates job‑related activities and assigns duties; builds accountability and measures progress, identifies improvement opportunities, promotes continuous learning. Ensures compliance with company policies and values, supports the Open Door Policy, and promotes a culture of belonging. Acts with integrity, supports Walmart’s regenerative mission, and serves customers and members with data‑driven decisions and a customer‑first mindset.

Strives for excellence, drives continuous improvement, and embraces technology and new skills.

• 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
• For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms‑specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
• For facilities that sell only ammunition, current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility if required.
• Requires attending and successfully completing all job‑required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy, Open Door).

• Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U or equivalent.
• Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U.
• General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
