Experts of store process and efficiency who enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store. This team conducts inventory accuracy, merchandise set-up and maintenance and pricing processes for all areas of the store.

Experts enable efficient delivery to our guests by supporting pick, pack and ship fulfillment work.

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks.
• Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs.
• Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target.
• Execute daily tasks assigned by leadership to align with business priorities, including receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, arranging merchandise, and putting up promotional signs for GM areas.
• Operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures if certified.
• Execute processes including price changes, merchandise setup and maintenance, and inventory accuracy as directed.
• Learn how operational procedures affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability.
• Be knowledgeable about store resources, products, and services to solve issues and improve guest experience.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes (picking/packing orders, delivering pickup orders) while complying with applicable laws.
• All other duties based on business needs.

• Able to interact with guests and fellow team members to provide assistance.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, active role requiring teamwork, flexibility, and problem solving.
• Open to a flexible schedule with varying hours or shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.

• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate using multiple devices and operate scanners and other technology as directed.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
• Ability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within set time frames.

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Climb ladders; move merchandise safely and efficiently, including lifting up to 44 pounds without additional help.
• Flexible schedule with reliable attendance; work in varying temperatures and elements as required by duties.
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
