Job SummaryThe School of Social Science and Global Studies seeks an adjunct instructor to teach lower-level French courses, either online or face-to-face. The primary responsibility is teaching a one-semester beginning or intermediate French course.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Teach French classes as needed.
- Attend program meetings as determined by the program coordinator.
- Follow all university, college, and school policies regarding teaching practices and job performance.
- Respond to communication from students, staff, and administration.
- Hold regular office hours.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 18 graduate hours of French.
- Master's degree in French and experience with online teaching.
- Knowledge of language and culture; skill in delivering knowledge and fostering student learning.
- Proficiency with Canvas for online teaching (synchronous and asynchronous).
- Ability to use Mindtap and online textbook materials.
- Professionalism and collegial conduct.
- Timely responsiveness to inquiries.
Experience in LMS course design.
