Caretaker - Part Time

Our client is a supported accommodation provider who are currently looking for a Caretaker to join their team on a part time basis in Hastings and surrounding areas in East Sussex
.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience within a caretake role, possess excellent communication skills, be able to problem solve and work independently. A full driving licence and own transport are essential for this role as it does involve you travelling between properties.

As a Part Time Caretaker you will be conducting fire safety checks, reviewing risk assessments as well as overseeing housekeeping and waste management. You will also report and manage urgent repairs to maintain a safe and habitable environment as well as conducting regular site inspections

The ideal candidate will hold the following skills and experiences:

• Demonstrable experience within a caretaker role
• Possess excellent communication skills
• Be able to problem solve
• Ability to multi-task and work independently
• A full driving licence and own transport is essential

Your duties as a Part Time Caretaker will include:

• Working in various properties within Hastings and surrounding areas of East Sussex
• Conducting fire safety checks, reviewing risk assessments, and ensuring emergency preparedness
• Overseeing housekeeping, waste management, undertaking timely room changeovers and ensuring communal areas meet company standards, addressing issues as they arise
• Reporting and managing urgent repairs to maintain a safe and habitable environment
• Conducting regular site inspections to ensure property is maintained and compliant with health and safety regulations, addressing issues as they arise
• Coordinating with contractors and service providers for maintenance and repairs
• Knowing how to respond to incidents in accordance with company policy
