Front Desk Agent

Hastings House Country House Hotel is an enchanting and idyllic luxury country resort, spa and restaurant situated on 22 verdant acres of waterfront property overlooking Ganges Harbour. We are member of the esteemed Relais and Chateaux hotel association that is known for warm and personalized service with authentic cuisine and celebration of sense of place.

The Front Desk Agent is part of a tight-knit crew at the heart of the Reception and Office team. This position requires 30-40 hours a week with the possibility of advancement.

• Welcoming, checking in/out guests and assisting throughout their stay
• Taking hotel, restaurant and spa reservations via phone and email
• Accurately recording guests’ booking details and taking payments
• Speaking with future guests about how to get to Salt Spring and the offerings of the hotel and island as a destination
• Answering phones, handling emails, and coordinating with departments

• Enthusiastic, accurate and detail oriented
• Clear verbal and written English communication
• Have a passion for hospitality and offering guests an exceptional, memorable experience aligning with Relais & Chateaux standards
• Significant customer-service experience
• Experience with MS Office
• Experience with Web Rez Pro, Touch Bistro or Booked In an asset
• Ability to start training and working in March
