Are you passionate about supporting Rangatahi to realise their potential?
Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga (TToH) is looking for an experienced Youth Support Worker to join our dynamic Rangatahi team based in Heretaunga. This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm (40 hours per week).
This role focuses on supporting young people receiving the Youth Payment (YP) and Young Parent Payment (YPP). You will help them navigate challenges, access support, and work towards employment and independence.

About the Role:Based at our Orchard Road site in Hastings and reporting to the Team Manager, you will work directly with Rangatahi and their whānau in the community. You'll support them to identify goals, access entitlements, connect to services, and transition into education, training, or employment. Your mahi will make a real difference in the lives of young people and their tamariki.
Key Responsibilities:- Support Rangatahi and their whānau to access services such as YP/YPP payments, budgeting support, parenting programmes, Well Child providers, and Early Childhood Education,
- Build strong, trusting relationships to keep Rangatahi engaged in education, employment or training,
- Maintain an active caseload, ensuring all service standards, reporting, and contract milestones are met,
- Work collaboratively as part of an integrated team, delivering services in a culturally safe, professional, and empowering way.
- Has experience working with Rangatahi,
- Understands the policies and processes of the Ministry of Social Development (MSD), including benefit entitlements,
- Is confident using computers and online systems for applications, notes and reporting,
- Has a full, clean NZ driver licence,
- Brings strong knowledge of local communities and is grounded in Te Ao Māori values and tikanga.
