About the role
Prospero Teaching are seeking GCSE Tutors to support learners across a range of subjects in Hastings and surrounding areas. Tutors will work 1:1 with learners in alternative provision.
What you'll do- Deliver tailored tuition sessions for GCSE students.
- Hours vary from 2–15 per week per learner.
- Support learners who may have SEN, SEMH, are Looked After Children, have EAL or experience EBSA.
- Core GCSE subjects:
Maths, English, Science. - Other subjects may be required depending on learner needs.
- Experience teaching or tutoring GCSE‑level content.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging, structured lessons.
- Empathy and adaptability to support learners with diverse needs.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people.
- Experience working with learners with SEN.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate or willingness to apply.
- References upon request.
- Up to date Safeguarding Training or willingness to undertake.
