Overview
The residents of Norwich are proud to call their home the ‘fine city’. Norwich has a wealth of hard and soft open spaces that have for many years been shaped by the council’s landscape architects.
We are looking to recruit to our landscape team and are seeking a chartered landscape architect or a professional with an equivalent qualification to the minimum requirements of Chartered status. You will need to be able to evidence designing and managing high‑value landscape projects and have a sound understanding of the landscape planning process.
Responsibilities- Work as a senior Landscape Architect in the team, managing and steering the work of the team alongside the Principal Landscape Architect, Senior Landscape Architect and Technicians Team Leader.
- Work independently as part of the city council and external design teams to deliver complex landscape and highways projects.
- Collaborate with clients within the City Council, neighbouring authorities and County Council including the highways team.
- Chartered Landscape Architect or equivalent professional qualification.
- Evidenced experience in designing and managing high‑value landscape projects.
- Sound understanding of the landscape planning process.
Norwich City Council supports flexible working and provides IT provision for home/flexible working where appropriate.
Competitive pay and benefits package including the Living Wage accreditation, paid holiday entitlement starting at 26 days per annum and increasing to a maximum of 33 days, plus an additional statutory day at Christmas.
