About Us

Iron Eagle specializes in industrial services, focusing on industrial cleaning, emergency spill response, and waste management. We are expanding our operations and seeking CDL DRIVERS to join our team! We have locations in Isanti, Hastings, and St. Paul, MN. You will report to a "home base" location but travel to all shop locations is expected. Some travel is required.

Overview

We are seeking CDL Drivers to operate specialized equipment for environmental remediation and hazardous waste management. You will operate a variety of heavy and light duty trucks/work equipment at our customer sites; including vacuum trucks, guzzlers, and roll offs. This role is responsible for performing driving and non-driving duties on & off customer sites associated with hazardous waste clean‑up and transport.

The role combines professional driving with technical expertise in handling potentially dangerous materials and operating complex vacuum/pumping systems.

Requirements
  • CDL (Class A or

    B)
  • Manual, Tanker, and Haz Mat Endorsements
  • Must successfully complete a background check and DOT Drug Test & Physical Examination as per OSHA and FMCSA regulatory guidelines
  • Must adhere to on‑call schedule (for emergency response) and occasional overnight travel
Responsibilities
  • Conduct pre‑trip inspections
  • Perform light maintenance and repairs
  • Load/unload Vac Trucks, Transports, and Rolloffs, etc.
  • Occasional long‑distance hauling (~10%)
  • Load and secure heavy equipment
  • Maintain proper placarding and labeling of vehicles
  • Complete all necessary documentation for DOT/MnDOT, etc.
Transportation & Equipment Operation
  • Operate Class A/B commercial vehicles including vacuum trucks, pump trucks, roll‑off trucks, and specialized hazmat transport vehicles
  • Navigate to industrial sites, refineries, chemical facilities, and emergency response locations
  • Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections on complex equipment systems
  • Maintain accurate driver logs and equipment maintenance records
Hazardous Materials Handling
  • Transport hazardous waste in compliance with DOT regulations and company safety protocols
  • Load and unload various waste streams including liquids, sludges, and contaminated materials
  • Properly secure and manifest hazardous cargo for transport
Technical Equipment Operations
  • Set up and operate industrial vacuum trucks with high‑capacity pumping systems
  • Connect appropriate hoses, fittings, and manifolds for different tank configurations
  • Operate positive displacement pumps, centrifugal pumps, and compressed air systems
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform basic field repairs
Emergency Response Services
  • Respond to oil spills, chemical releases, and environmental incidents
  • Deploy containment booms, absorbent materials, and recovery equipment
  • Work extended hours during emergency situations and weather events
  • Coordinate with incident commanders and regulatory agencies on‑site
Tank and Vessel Cleaning
  • Enter confined spaces following proper safety procedures and permitting
  • Operate high‑pressure washing systems and specialized cleaning equipment
  • Remove sludges, scale, and hazardous residues from storage tanks and process vessels
  • Set up ventilation and atmospheric monitoring equipment
Shift/Schedule
  • Standard shift time is 7am, but flexibility is required. Occasionally starts before or after 7am, and may exceed 8 hours/day depending on project/client needs. You will be notified of schedule changes in a timely manner.
  • This is a Full Time position; week to week, hours may ebb & flow between full time, overtime, and slightly less than 40 hours depending on current job needs and priorities.
On Call
  • Due to the nature of our business, you are expected to adhere to the On‑Call Rotation Schedule, which requires at least 1 On‑Call week per month (Thursday – Thursday). Our goal is to limit the On‑Call schedule to one week per month, though flexibility may be required in busy seasons and emergency events. We work with employees on their work/life schedules.
Travel
  • Due to emergency response, expect some overnight travel. Travel is usually scheduled, but unscheduled travel may arise for spill response. Must be flexible and willing to mobilize when an emergency event arises.
