The RoleWe are seeking two more dedicated professionals to join our team, committed to empowering Tane with the skills and knowledge necessary for transformative change. In this role, you will be completing alcohol and drug assessments, preparing treatment plans, facilitating group programmes and providing individual counselling to Tane within the Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Service. You will play a key role in supporting their wellness and rehabilitation journey.
We are a large team, based in our own area within HB Regional Prison. We have modern facilities, a great coffee machine and a supportive team environment in this unique location.
The hours are Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm (40 hours).
Key Requirements- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Psychology, Addictions, Social Work, Nursing, Teaching etc).
- Experience delivering interventions for Addiction
- Proficient in report writing and case management
- Experience working with whānau
- Full driver’s license
- Registration with DAPAANZ, NZAC or other professional body i.e. Social Work
- A kaupapa, Māori work environment with regular cultural activities (karakia, waiata)
- 5 weeks Annual leave + Birthday leave
