Project Assistant

Description We are looking for a dedicated Project Assistant to join our team on a short-term contract basis in Harwich, Massachusetts. This role supports the recreation department by helping to coordinate programs and activities for both children and adults. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of recreational services while gaining valuable project management experience.

Responsibilities:

- Coordinate schedules for after-school programs to ensure smooth operation and timely updates.

- Assist in organizing recreational activities for adults, including volleyball, pickleball, and basketball.

- Communicate program details, such as schedule changes and location updates, to participants effectively.

- Provide general support across all recreational program areas as needed.

- Ensure accurate documentation and scanning of relevant project materials.

- Monitor timelines and deadlines to keep activities on track.

- Collaborate with team members to maintain a master schedule for recreational events.

- Contribute to the management of small-scale projects within the department, ensuring goals are met. Requirements - Previous experience in project assistance or coordination roles.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple schedules and timelines.

- Effective communication skills to relay updates and information to participants.

- Familiarity with recreational activities or program management is a plus.

- Proficiency in scanning, documentation, and maintaining accurate records.

- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

- Basic knowledge of project management principles.
