Local Delivery Driver (Class A w/Airbrakes & Hazmat)

Airgas is hiring a Local Delivery Driver in Harvey, LA. This role involves safely and efficiently delivering compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers using a company‑provided straight or box truck. The driver will load, unload, deliver, and return cylinders while interacting with customers and maintaining accurate delivery records.

• Safely handle, load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to external and internal customer locations.
• Accurately record deliveries and pick‑ups on a load manifest, obtain customer signatures, and collect empty or rejected cylinders for refilling.
• Adhere to all Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and government regulations, including DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA.
• Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed.

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License and medical card.
• Hazmat & Airbrake certifications.
• At least 1 year of recent Class A or B professional driving experience within the last 5 years and a clean driving record (maximum two convictions, or two at‑fault accidents in last 3 years, or one of each).
• Minimum 21 years old.
• Ability to routinely lift 25–75 lbs., and occasionally 76–125+ lbs. with equipment.
• Forklift operator certification (or ability to obtain).

• Lifts up to 60 lbs. regularly, up to 800 lbs. with equipment.
• Walk, drive, and operate in inclement weather; flexible for overtime.
• Use verbal communication with customers and colleagues.
