Job Purpose

A Regional Project Technician is crucial for delivering and supporting projects within a specific area. This hands-on role involves technical expertise and collaboration with diverse teams and clients. Responsibilities include on-site technical support, equipment installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance to ensure seamless project execution. This requires knowledge of pumps, pump controls, piping, valves, and related equipment.

Applicants would need to reside in Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi or Louisiana to be considered for this opportunity.

What you will do...
  • Technical Support:
    Provide hands-on troubleshooting and diagnostic services for project-related equipment. Respond promptly to technical issues, both remotely and on-site, to minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on pump systems.
  • Use a multimeter, process meter, megger, vibration meter, laser alignment tool, and other instruments to diagnose pump motors and controls issues.
  • Project Implementation:
    Assist in the deployment and installation of equipment, systems, or infrastructure as specified in project plans. Ensure all installations adhere to safety codes and technical requirements.
  • Maintenance and Upgrades:
    Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on installed systems. Recommend and implement upgrades when necessary to enhance performance or address obsolescence.
  • Documentation:
    Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and site visits. Prepare reports detailing technical findings and corrective actions taken.
  • Client Interaction:
    Serve as a technical liaison to clients at the regional level, ensuring customer satisfaction through clear communication and responsive service.
  • Training:
    Train end users or client personnel on the proper use and maintenance of deployed equipment and systems.
  • Quality Assurance:
    Inspect completed work for compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration:

    Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to coordinate site activities and resolve technical challenges efficiently.
  • Safety:
    Adhere to all company and industry safety protocols. Conduct site risk assessments and address any hazards prior to commencing work.
  • Inventory Management:
    Track and manage inventory of parts, tools, and supplies required for project implementation and maintenance.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical certificate or associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial technology strongly preferred.
  • 3 years of hands-on technical experience in project installation, maintenance, or support roles. Experience in a regional or multi-site capacity is advantageous.

  • Technical

    Skills:

    Proficiency with the tools and technologies relevant to the industry (e.g., electronics, networking, mechanical systems, software platforms, etc.). Familiarity with reading and interpreting technical schematics and blueprints.
  • Problem-Solving:
    Demonstrated ability to diagnose issues, develop solutions, and implement corrective actions efficiently.
  • Communication:
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Organization:
    Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently.
  • Travel:
    Willingness and ability to travel regularly within the assigned region. Valid driver’s license required.
  • Physical Requirements:

    Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and operate hand/power tools as needed.
  • Certifications (Preferred):
    Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Cisco CCNA, or manufacturer-specific credentials are beneficial.

Pay Range: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour + truck
