ALL ABOUT STYLE
A team of consultants who deliver for guests through strong operations, guest experience and visual merchandising presentations. A Style Consultant is focused on operations and guest experience, ensuring the floor is set with the right product, priced and signed on the sales floor with the right sizes, styles, and colors. They meet guests on the sales floor and in the fitting room and create a visually engaging shopping environment.

Role Skills and Development
The Role Of a Style Consultant Can Provide You With The Skills And Experiences Of:

• Our guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest first culture across the store
• Retail business fundamentals including department sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing and promotions strategies and basic visual merchandising
• Industry trends including style, seasonality, and brand differentiation
• Set, fill, and price the floor according to what is most important to the guest

As a Style Consultant, a Typical Day Will Include The Following Responsibilities:

• Drive sales and deliver a guest-ready floor by executing visual standards, inspirational & promotional signing, and staying knowledgeable on assortment and brand offerings to assist the guest as needed.
• Leverage store tools to understand sales, inventory ownership, and use to solve & support guest needs.
• Sort truck freight, push freight to the salesfloor, and locate merchandise in the backroom based on business needs.
• Set visual presentations & visual merchandising guides to support guest experience and sales.
• Maintain product availability and a full floor by executing priority fills, manual fills, & merchandising to capacity to create a guest-ready floor.
• Execute & maintain backroom organization, locating merchandise to support replenishment, fulfillment, & guest requests.
• Remerchandise presentations as they sell through using remerchandising best practices to deliver an inspiring shopping experience.
• Support price change processes by executing clearance merchandising best practices, including signing execution.
• Maintain and use the fitting rooms to welcome, inspire, and help guests.
• Support fulfillment and guest needs by ensuring merchandise from the fitting room and guest service is returned to the salesfloor throughout the day.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance at all times.
• Work safely; comply with safety policies, report hazards and correct where possible.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup (OPU) and Drive-up (DU) while maintaining compliance with laws.
• Create a welcoming guest experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks.
• Engage with guests to solve their specific needs and thank them for choosing to shop at Target.
• All other duties based on business needs

• Strong interest and knowledge of apparel products and accessories
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members
• Ability to communicate on multiple devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team
• Ability to resolve guest questions quickly
• Ability to stay focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks

Basics We Expect
Includes:

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
• Climb ladders
• Scan, handle and move merchandise safely and efficiently, including lifting up to 15 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally
• Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments (Drive-Up, carryout, etc.)
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a shift
