We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Controller to join our fast‑paced Accounting + Finance team. This is an outstanding opportunity for an individual who is passionate about driving financial health and sustainability. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations and will contribute to the development and implementation of our company's financial strategy. Responsibilities
Oversee all company accounting practices, including preparing financial statements, invoices, and management accounts.Develop and implement financial strategies and systems that align with the company's business goals.Carry out regular financial audits to ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.Prepare and present financial reports to the board of directors, stakeholders, and executives.Develop and manage financial systems/models and carry out business modelling and risk assessments.Control and forecast income and expenditure.Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts.Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization.Evaluate and advise on the impact of long‑range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory action.Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives so as to identify their needs and seek a full range of business solutions.Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. A CPA, CMA, or other finance‑related certifications are highly desirable.A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior‑level finance or accounting position within the Construction industry.Strong knowledge of WIP reporting, finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.Strong proficiency in Excel and other financial planning software.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence, and executive presence – ability to motivate staff.Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills.Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.Ability to roll up sleeves and work with team members in a hands‑on capacity.Interested in hearing more?
