Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level I Trauma Emergency Department night shift position in Illinois requiring prior urban ED experience and certifications.
Responsibilities- Work in a Level I Trauma Emergency Department of a hospital
- Patient ratios are 1 nurse to 4 patients
- Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:30
- Requires working every other weekend
- Floating to other units is required
- Epic charting system is used
- First-time travelers are accepted for this role
- Maximum of 7 days requested time off allowed during contract, with restrictions on timing
- Block scheduling is not accommodated
- Former permanent UChicago Medicine, PRN, or Ingalls staff must have a 7 month separation before consideration
- Holiday coverage may be required during the assignment
- Active IL RN license required at the time of consideration
- Minimum of 1 year experience in an urban Level I Trauma ED
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
- TNCC and CPI certifications preferred
- Experience in a teaching hospital preferred
- Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility
- Pending IL license is not accepted
