Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring an IL RN license and Level I Trauma ED experience.
Responsibilities- Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
- Urban, Level I Trauma Center environment
- Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4
- Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:30
- Work every other weekend
- Floating to other units is required
- Uses Epic for charting
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Block scheduling is not available
- Maximum of 7 days of requested time off allowed
- Active IL RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department experience required
- Prior experience in an urban, Level I Trauma ED is required
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
- Preferred certifications include TNCC and CPI
- Experience in a teaching hospital is preferred
- Candidates must live at least 75 miles from the facility
- Pending licenses are not accepted
