Steven Douglas has been retained to identify a Senior Director Americas Controller for this global manufacturer based out of Chicago's south suburbs. The role is hybrid in Harvey, Illinois and will report directly to the regional CFO while overseeing a team of 16.

• Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS and GAAP.
• Provide leadership and guidance to teams managing general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, taxes, and fixed assets.
• Oversee month-end close, account reconciliations, and intercompany procedures for entities in the US, Canada, Mexico, and South America.
• Ensure timely, efficient, and high-quality completion of all financial close processes with a proactive, hands-on approach.

Internal Controls & Compliance

• Maintain, strengthen, and evolve internal controls to ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate and actively participate in external audits, serving as a key liaison with auditors to ensure smooth and successful audit outcomes.

Strategic & Operational Support

• Deliver clear financial analysis and actionable insights to support strategic business initiatives and decision-making.
• Identify, drive, and implement process improvements, automation, and digital solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Play a key role in major finance-related projects, including the global ERP upgrade to SAP S/4
  
  HANA.

Qualifications

• CPA required
• 10+ years of progressive experience, at least 5 of which have been as a leader
• Manufacturing industry experience
• ERP and process improvement experience
