Public Works Summer Seasonal Worker

The Cityof Harvard is accepting applicationsfortheposition of part-time seasonal workers for the Public Works Division. Position will report tothe Director of Public Works with general supervision from Public Works line staff. Ideal candidates would be someone interested in working trades or on summer break from education.

Purpose

Theprimaryresponsibility Public Works Summer Seasonals istoassistmanual labor as assigned tokeep

City Infrastructure maintained and passable. This may include running a wood chipper, pickups, skid-steer loaders, chain saws, miscellaneous hand tools, and general physical labor.

Required Qualifications

• Musthaveavalid Driver'sLicense
• Mustbeabletoworkwithlittleornosupervision

Physical Demands

• Ability toreach withhands andarms,stand, walk,sit,use hands tooperateobjects, tools,and controls, andoperatemotorized vehicles and equipment (Reasonable accommodationsmaybemadetoenable individualswithdisabilities toperform the essential functions.)

Duties and Responsibilities include,butarenotlimitedto

• Operate equipment,tools,andmachineryasneeded
• Assist with event setup and take down
• $15.50 to $17.00 depending on previous experience and returning seasonals
