The Lube Technician is responsible for performing routine lubrication, preventive maintenance, and fluid servicing on company vehicles and equipment. This role supports operational reliability and safety by ensuring fleet assets are properly maintained and serviced in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements. The position requires operation of service vehicles and transportation of materials, including hazardous materials.
Key Responsibilities
Perform lubrication, oil changes, fluid checks, and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment
Inspect equipment for signs of wear, leaks, or damage and report findings promptly
Safely transport and handle oils, fuels, and other regulated materials
Operate service trucks and tanker vehicles to support field and shop operations
Maintain accurate service records and documentation
Follow all safety procedures, environmental regulations, and company policies
Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean and organized
Communicate effectively with supervisors and maintenance personnel regarding equipment needs
Required Qualifications
Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License)
Tanker endorsement (required)
Hazardous Materials (Haz Mat) endorsement (required)
Ability to safely operate service vehicles and equipment
Knowledge of basic mechanical systems and lubrication practices
Strong attention to safety, detail, and compliance
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience as a Lube Technician, Mechanic Helper, or similar role
Experience working with fleet vehicles, heavy equipment, or utility/construction equipment
Familiarity with DOT and environmental regulations
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods
Work Environment
Field-based and shop-based work environments
Exposure to oils, fuels, and mechanical equipment
Safety-sensitive position requiring adherence to all safety and compliance standards
