Senior Refrigeration Engineer

Position: Senior Refrigeration Engineer (Permanent)
Location: Hart

Mobile Senior Refrigeration Engineer – Commercial Portfolio – North London to South Coast – Up to £50,000 Overtime

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and self-motivated Senior Refrigeration Engineer to take ownership of service, maintenance, and breakdown operations across a varied commercial portfolio including hospitals, restaurants etc.

This is a hands-on role, working 100% on the tools, delivering high-quality service and maintenance across commercial buildings from North London down to the South Coast. While the majority of works are regional, there may be occasions where travel across the UK is required accommodation will be provided where necessary. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring all refrigeration systems operate efficiently, safely, and in line with compliance standards, while maintaining strong relationships with clients on site.

Candidates can be based in Portsmouth, London, Farnborough or surrounding areas.

Hours of Work
40-hour week (08:00am - 17:00pm)
1-in-7 call-out rota

Key Responsibilities

Service, maintenance, and reactive breakdown repair of commercial refrigeration systems
Fault finding and diagnostics across a range of refrigeration plant
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks
Attending emergency call-outs as part of a 1-in-7 rota
Working across commercial buildings including offices, hospitality, and mixed-use sites
Completing all relevant documentation and service reports accurately
Ensuring compliance with F-Gas regulations and health & safety standards
Maintaining strong client communication and delivering high standards of workmanship

About You

F-Gas Category 1 qualified
City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (or equivalent)
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
Full UK driving licence
Comfortable working independently across multiple sites
Professional, reliable, and client-focused
Flexible to travel when required (hotel accommodation provided for UK-wide works)
