Salary: OTE £65,000 per annum including basic salary and bonus

Hours:

Monday to Friday 8.30am – 6pm, Saturdays 8.30am – 5pm with one hour lunch break and a day off in the week. Alternate Sundays are 10am to 4pm

We are recruiting for a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to join our client’s thriving main dealership in Hartlepool. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a well established dealer group known for delivering exceptional customer service, strong brand representation, and consistent business growth.

As Sales Manager, you will lead a motivated sales team and play a key role in shaping the performance and success of the dealership’s new and used vehicle operations. You’ll drive standards, maximise sales opportunities, and create a positive, customer focused environment where both the team and the business can excel. Sales Manager Role

• Lead and oversee a busy sales department—including Sales Executives, the Business Manager, and administrative team members —reporting directly to the General Manager

• Manage the team to deliver a seamless sales process while maintaining close customer engagement throughout the vehicle purchase journey

• Ensure adherence to dealership and manufacturer standards, including compliance with FCA and financial regulations

• Set and exceed targets for unit sales, finance penetration, and additional aftermarket products

• Coach, develop, and mentor the sales team, using structured training and performance management to boost individual and team effectiveness

Sales Manager Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Sales Manager or General Sales Manager within a successful car dealership environment

• Full UK driving licence.

• Self-motivated, driven, and passionate about leadership and team success in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
