WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU

Permanent position

4 day working week - Monday to Thursday 06:00 – 16:15

40-hour contractual weeks

£13/hour

Full upskilling and committed mentoring/development in terms of sector if required.

Once permanent 25 days leave + Bank holidays

THE BUSINESS

Our client is a world class manufacturing/engineering business with an ever-growing presence throughout the UK. They take pride in crafting exceptional doors, door sets, and screens that seamlessly blend aesthetics with functionality. CNC Operator to join their dedicated team.

THE ROLE

Set up and operate CNC router machines to cut, shape, and finish materials

Load raw materials onto the machine bed and secure them properly

Input, edit, and adjust CNC programs as required

Select and change cutting tools, bits, and attachments

Monitor machine operations to ensure accuracy and quality

Inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications and tolerances

Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning

Troubleshoot minor machine faults and report major issues to maintenance

Maintain a safe and organised work environment

Follow health and safety procedures at all times

THE PERSON

Proven experience operating CNC router machines within a woodworking or joinery environment

Experience working with timber, MDF, plywood, laminates, and composite boards

Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and loading/editing CNC programs

Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and cutting lists

High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Reliable, punctual, and able to meet production deadlines

Strong problem-solving ability

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Good communication skills

Flexible and adaptable to changing workloads
