This is a hands-on Mechanical & Electrical Design Engineer role where your work directly shapes water and wastewater treatment facilities — from pump stations and treatment plants to complex network infrastructure.

The Mechanical & Electrical Design Engineer Role — What You'll Be Working On- Design mechanical and electrical systems for water and wastewater assets including pump stations, treatment plants, pipelines and valves
- Produce high-quality detailed designs using CAD tools (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)
- Work closely with civil, process and instrumentation engineers to deliver fully integrated solutions
- Manage your own design deliverables, ensuring quality, programme and budget requirements are met
- Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, regulations and health & safety requirements
- Engage with clients to understand requirements, explain technical solutions and support decision-making
- Contribute ideas that improve efficiency, sustainability and long-term performance of assets

- 3-5+ years' experience in mechanical and/or electrical design engineering
- Experience with in the water or wastewater sector (highly desirable)
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Strong CAD capability (AutoCAD, Revit or similar)
- Knowledge of relevant water industry standards and regulations (e.g. WIMES, DSEAR, BS / EU standards)
- A practical, sustainability-focused mindset
Chartered or working toward professional registration is beneficial, but not essential.

- Site work primarily across the South of England, with occasional nationwide travel
