Position: Learning Support Assistant (Temporary)
We are supporting a client school in Hartlepool (TS25) in their search for a caring, proactive and skilled Learning Support Assistant to join their dedicated team. Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with a range of SEND needs.
Assist in delivering differentiated and accessible teaching across the curriculum.
Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing using trauma-informed practice, nurture and restorative approaches.
Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils while promoting independence.
Work effectively as part of a team and follow teacher and SEN guidance.
Be proactive, enthusiastic and adaptable when supporting diverse learner needs.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold an Enhanced Child DBS (preferred).
Have experience supporting pupils with SEND (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia, speech and language needs, trauma).
Be patient, calm, resilient and able to support pupils with empathy and consistency.
Be willing to learn and apply trauma-informed and nurture-based strategies.
Feel confident adapting tasks, materials and expectations to suit individual learning needs.
Be committed to inclusive, high-quality education and meaningful pupil progress.
Work collaboratively as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
