Overview
Full Time, Days. The Clinical Manager - Hospice, at the direction of the Director of Hospice, plans for, leads, coordinates and facilitates the provision of quality care and service for patients at the end of life. Demonstrates commitment to hospice and palliative care, excellence in problem solving, leadership, communication, fiscal responsibility and teamwork. Provides leadership, consultation and collaboration in a multidisciplinary environment and collaborates with administrators and other members of the health care team to design, evaluate, and improve patient care systems and processes.
Responsibilities- Manage the operational, administrative, and personnel responsibilities in providing services in a 24/7 work environment by overseeing day-to-day operations.
- Contribute to the development of the annual budget; monitor patient revenues, clinical and operational expenses, and staff productivity. Report variance to Director and take appropriate actions to meet or exceed budget targets.
- Monitor key performance indicators and create an action plan to improve results.
- Oversee case management process; strategize to improve efficiency and eliminate barriers that impact patient and family centered care. Optimize use of resources to meet patient needs.
- Facilitate and monitor activities related to the delivery of patient care, ensuring evidence-based practice and minimum clinical practice standards are achieved in the clinical area.
- Administer clinical care to patients as needed to maintain clinical skills, assess particular patient requirements, or support patient care staff.
- Oversee, facilitate, and monitor all aspects of hospice personnel, including orientation of new staff, development and education of clinicians, and performance management.
- Support clinicians and patients in the field as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in professional clinical discipline (RN or MSW) from an accredited college or university;
Master's degree desired. Certification in specialty preferred. - Two (2) years of experience in a direct supervisory role required.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
- Software skills:
Electronic medical record, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
- Minimum Pay: $47.50
