Overview
The Early Childhood program at the Upper Valley Waldorf School, located in Quechee, Vermont is hiring! We are seeking Assistant Teachers for our Early Childhood program for the school year. We have a well-established program, and a beautiful faculty-designed early childhood building which houses classes with individual classroom outdoor spaces, as well as a full outside playground.
We are proud to be a Prequalified Provider under Act 166 (Universal Prekindergarten) and are recognized as a 4-STAR program by the Department of Children and Families in Vermont. Vermont STARS recognizes and rewards programs that go above and beyond Vermont’s basic regulatory requirements in providing services to Vermont’s children and families.
Monday – Friday, full-time schedules (7:30am – 3:30pm or 10:30am - 5:30pm) are preferred as we strive to meet the childcare coverage needs of our families.
ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking patient, experienced, dependable individuals to work under the guidance of lead teachers in a Waldorf Early Childhood classroom.
Qualifications- State of Vermont Qualifications for Early Childhood Assistant Teachers:
High school diploma or equivalent, at least 18 years of age and completion of a 30-hour course in child development, or one higher education course (minimum 3 credits) in early childhood development to be successfully completed within one year of employment.
We are proud to offer health insurance for 30+ hours per week and prorated grade school tuition remission for 24+ hours per week for these hourly positions.
