Warehouse Driver

** MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:**## Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:* ## Responsible for the day-to-day warehouse activity and requirements within the warehouse, daily Shipping and Receiving responsibilities, forklift, bar code scanning, and housekeeping.* ## Effective ongoing verbal and written communication skills with management, co-workers, and customer(s).* ## Matches all shipping BOL’s with corresponding paperwork.* ## Make trailer move timely and safely as needed.
* ## Ensure that ALL trailers that are indoors are chocked and have a nose stand.* ## Comply with ALL Silgan Safety Rules and Dress codes including the use of Hi-Viz while on the premises.* ## Complete a Yard check daily and turn it into Shipping.* ## Report ALL Accidents, incidents and Injuries Immediately.* ## Operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods between assigned locations.
* ## Maintain accurate logs, delivery records, and any required transportation paperwork.* ## Complete shuttle truck, trailer, and forklift pre-trip & post-trip inspections daily and turn into shipping.* ## Able to drive a manual transmission.* ## Make sure that all trailer doors (whether empty or loaded) are CLOSED when in motion.* ## Comply with D.O.T regulations, per FMCSR* ## Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and procedures.

Report ALL Accidents and Injuries Immediately.* ## Assists with other duties as assigned.## ## ##

** High School diploma or GED .##

** Valid CDL-A Licensing (Commercial Driver License) and D.O.T Medical Certification## ##

1 Year Tractor Trailer Driving## Preferred: 2+ Years Tractor Trailer Driving## ##

* SKILLS:

** Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. Proficient with utilization of computers, to include, but not limited to, Microsoft Office applications, Oracle, and handheld scanners.## ##

* Required:

*** ## Must maintain both CDL-A, per (§391.23) and Medical Certification, per (§391.43(g)).* ## Able to drive a manual transmission.* ## Must be able to back into multiple Dock Doors repeatedly.* ## Must be able to Drop and Hook repeatedly in all kinds of weather.* ## Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision## ##

* Physical Requirements:

*** ## Ability to lift up to 35 pounds continuously throughout the shift.* ## Work involves continuous sitting, standing, walking, lifting, bending, reaching, and twisting.* ## Work involves continuous mounting and dismounting from forklift.* ## Must have the physical ability to work 8+ hour shift schedule.* ## Must have the cognitive ability to work 8+ hour shift schedule.* ## Must be available to work weekends.
* ## Must be able to work outside during inclement weather conditions, on occasion.## ## ##
