ABI Independent Living Skills Trainer​/ILST

Overview

Independent Living Skills Trainer (ILST) – Acquired Brain Injury Program, located in Hartford, CT areas. Flexible Full-Time & Part-Time opportunities (Day & Evening Shifts).

• Support individuals in developing independent living skills such as daily routines, budgeting, cooking, and communication.
• Provide non-medical care, supervision, and socialization based on each client’s personalized service plan.
• Encourage, guide, and celebrate progress — big and small.
• Be a positive, steady presence as clients build stronger, more fulfilling lives.

• Be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required).
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and good driving record.
• Verifiable Experience with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI): 2 years with a high school diploma or equivalent, OR 1 year with a bachelor’s degree.

• Pay: $18.00/hr – $20.00/hr
• Starting pay: $18.00/hour
