Philadelphia, PA. This is a remotely located field role with travel to customer locations in your region.

• Perform mechanical/electrical troubleshooting of Heidelberg Postpress bindery equipment
• Conduct maintenance and training on Heidelberg Postpress commercial bindery equipment
• Work with assigned qualified riggers to install and/or move new or used equipment
• Return all parts noted as unused, out of box failures, wrong part sent, etc.
• Complete all paperwork in a timely manner (expenses, time sheets, online training, car maintenance, etc.)
• Keep dispatch team informed on the amount of time expected to complete a particular job; update if the situation changes
• Keep customer updated on ETA and status of repairs
• Equipment installations which include working with riggers, un-packing equipment, checking electrical power and compressed air, coordinating with a Certified Electrician, initial setup and testing to ensure performance to factory standards
• Provide initial and ongoing formal customer operator and equipment maintenance training; assess training needs and make recommendations regarding additional training
• Provide periodic on-site troubleshooting and repairs for complex electrical, mechanical or pneumatic problems as directed
• Provide detailed technical feedback via Mobile Service App (MService) during and after each customer visit following Heidelberg US guidelines
• Travel up to 75% of the workweek and occasional weekend work to meet customer needs

• Minimum two-year technical degree or equivalent experience in mechanical, digital, and electronic technology
• Minimum two years in field engineering positions servicing complex electro-mechanical devices and high-demand customer locations
• Technical degree is a plus;
  High School Diploma or equivalent; 5 to 10 years of field service experience
• Demonstrated customer management skills and commitment to customer satisfaction
• Ability to independently manage a large service territory (including parts, tools, and company information)
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems to the component level
• Ability to provide telephone technical support and effectively communicate with Global Solutions Center Helpdesk
• Knowledge of high and low voltage wiring; ability to identify and qualify single-phase and three-phase power requirements
• Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to use alignment tools and hold tolerances around .001"
• Ability to lift up to 70 lb and work in tight spaces, crawl on concrete floors, and access components
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and travel as required

Salary: $72,500
