The Business Development Liaison role focuses on building strong relationships with local businesses, community organizations, and local community households, while promoting the credit union’s products, services, and mission. The Business Development Liaison represents the credit union at community events and plays a key role in driving brand awareness and measurable growth.
Key Responsibilities- Business & Community Development
- Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with small businesses, community organizations and local community households.
- Conduct on-site visits, financial wellness presentations, and enrollment sessions to drive new memberships.
- Attend community events, sponsorship activities, and networking events to expand the credit union’s visibility.
- Develop and execute outreach plans to increase loan applications, deposit growth, and product penetration.
- Membership & Loan Growth & Brand Promotion
- Coordinate with branch and lending staff to ensure smooth onboarding of members and excellent member experience.
- Collaborate with management to produce outreach materials, campaigns, and digital/social initiatives. While communicating with our current marketing and web development agency.
- Track activities, and report results to management.
- Analyze growth opportunities within the credit union’s field of membership.
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in business development, sales, or related field.
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Strong presentation, networking, and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to set priorities and meet goals with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Experience with community outreach or event coordination.
- Bilingual (Spanish or other) is a plus.
- Credit Union experience a plus.
