Position Purpose

The Registered Nurse, Ambulatory Infusion, is responsible for providing higher level clinical support to the health care team by providing superior nursing care services to patients in accordance with established R.N. job standards, policies, and procedures. The ideal candidate will display a drive to provide patient-centered experiences through scholarly scientific inquiry, compassion for the human spirit and mind, advocacy and education for the patient and families, and collaboration with all those who touch our patients.

You Will Do
  • Contribute to overall quality of nursing care through performance improvement techniques that impact patient care positively.
  • Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with colleagues, patients, and family members.
  • Educate patients and family members so that they have a transparent understanding of the care being provided.
  • Understand computer-based applications (E-MAR, clinical documentation), email, and standard applications such as Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrate problem solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication through teamwork.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education:

    Graduate of an accredited R.N. program.
  • Licensure:
    Current Connecticut R.N. license required; CPR required;
    Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license where required by assignment.
Additional /

Preferred Qualifications
  • Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited school of nursing. Specialty credentialing & educational degree according to clinical nursing practice specialty area.
  • IV or IV infusion experience preferred.
