Non-Invasive Cardiology - Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

Location: 100 Retreat Ave (10250). Outpatient offices are located in Hartford, Farmington, and Manchester; inpatient rounding occurs at Hartford Hospital, Hartford, CT.

Schedule: 40 hours per week, consisting of four 10‑hour days in clinic and occasional rotations on the inpatient service. Occasional weekends and holidays may be required.
No call required.

• Work under established guidelines and in collaboration with supervising physicians to assess, tri); /a>erage and diagnose cardiac pathology.

• Maintain inpatient consultation service and outpatient clinic responsibilities.
• In the inpatient setting: facilitate consultations, perform daily rounding, write progress notes, and collaborate with the rounding physician.
• In the outpatient setting: conduct office follow‑up visits with oversight by an attending cardiologist; initiate and progress therapeutic plans; perform exercise and vasodilator stress.squareup; place IV catheter placements; and administer stress test medications.
• Educate patients and families on recommended care plans and resources.
• Collaborate with the care team, including supervising physicians, other APRNs/PAs, nurses, medical assistants, consulting services, and primary care teams.
• Participate in and contribute to ongoing education of the non‑invasive cardiology team.

• Licensure: Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or an equivalent eligible license).
• Training: APRN (Family, Pediatric, Adult/Geriatric Nurse Practitioner) or Physician Assistant.
• Experience: Minimum two years of post‑graduate experience as a Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (not mandatory but advantageous).
