* * About the Role
* We are seeking a skilled
* AV Event & Conference Room Support Specialist
* to support high visibility corporate events, executive meetings, and daytoday conference room technology. This role is fully onsite in Hartford, CT and requires strong technical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to thrive in fastpaced environments.
* Key Responsibilities
* * Event Setup & Operation
* * Configure and operate audio, video, and lighting systems for corporate events, town halls, and executive meetings.
* Ensure proper signal flow and connectivity across all AV components.
* Provide technical support for
* Microsoft Teams
* and
* Web Ex* platforms.
* Troubleshoot issues in real time during live sessions.
* Conference Room Technology Support
* * Perform routine health checks on integrated conference room systems.
* Troubleshoot technical issues quickly and professionally.
* Assist with upgrades and installation of technology across the environment.
* Collaboration & Communication
* * Partner with event organizers, IT teams, and external vendors to align technical requirements.
* Deliver real-time support and issue resolution during events.
* Equipment Management
* * Maintain AV equipment inventory and ensure all devices are in working order.
* Conduct routine maintenance and escalate repair needs promptly.
* Required Qualifications
* * Hands-on experience with audio systems (microphones, mixers, amplifiers), video systems (cameras, switchers, projectors), and lighting systems (fixtures, control boards).
* Familiarity with
* Poly* conferencing systems and AV signal flow.
* Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to perform under pressure.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Preferred Qualifications
* * Experience with streaming platforms and hybrid event technologies.
* Knowledge of AV control systems and basic networking principles.
* * CTS (Certified Technology Specialist)
* certification or equivalent.
* Physical Requirements
* * Ability to lift and transport AV equipment (up to 50 lbs).
* Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
* Job Type & Location
* This is a Contract position based out of Hartford, CT.
* Pay and Benefits
* The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
