Job Description

Hybrid 3 days/week (Tues - Thurs) to Charlotte, NC / Hartford, CT / Columbus, OH

Facilitate DCO workshops to capture objectives, define user journeys, and align on success criteria.

Model case life cycles (stages/steps, alternate paths) and define business rules and decision outcomes.

Decompose requirements into epics, features, and user stories with measurable outcomes and acceptance criteria.

Partner with Product Owners to prioritize backlog and maintain traceability from business goals to stories.

Translate policy, compliance, and regulatory needs into executable workflows, SLAs, and routing rules.

Define operational SLAs (e.g., assignment aging, queue thresholds, escalation timelines) and exception handling.

Coordinate with operations to standardize processes while allowing for necessary variations by line-of-business.

Collaborate with Solution Architects/LSAs to ensure business intent is realized within guardrails and design patterns.

Validate App Studio configurations (views, case types, personas) to enable low-code contribution from business teams.

Participate in design reviews to confirm alignment between process models, data needs, and integration contracts.

Define business data objects, ownership, and lifecycle (from a business lens).

Set KPIs and operational metrics (throughput, cycle time, first-contact resolution, SLA compliance).

Work with reporting teams to configure dashboards and drill-downs for supervisors and executives.

Prepare business readiness materials (SOPs, training guides, quick-reference flows).

Lead UAT planning and execution: scenario design, test data needs, and sign-off criteria.

Capture feedback loops post-release; refine workflows and rules based on performance and user adoption.

Skills and Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in business architecture, business process design, or enterprise BPM roles
  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience with PEGA Platform supporting workflow‑driven business solutions
  • Strong expertise in end‑to‑end business process modeling using Pega case types, stages, steps, and alternate paths
  • Proven ability to define business capabilities, value streams, and operating models aligned to enterprise strategy
  • Experience translating business strategy and regulatory requirements into executable Pega workflows and rules
  • Deep understanding of case management concepts, SLAs, routing, work queues, and exception handling in Pega
  • Ability to collaborate with Solution Architects and LSAs to ensure business intent is accurately realized in design
  • Experience defining decision logic, business rules, and outcomes in partnership with Pega implementation teams
  • Strong command of requirements decomposition: epics, features, and user stories tied to measurable business outcomes
  • Experience conducting DCO (Directly Capture Objectives) workshops and backlog refinement sessions
  • Ability to articulate and document business rules, policies, and KPIs within Pega-enabled processes
  • Familiarity with data concepts in Pega (business data objects, reference data, lifecycle ownership) from a business lens
  • Experience working in Agile / SAFe delivery environments, partnering closely with product and engineering teams
  • Experience with Insurance industry-specific Pega solutions
  • Exposure to Pega Customer Service (CS) or case orchestration across multiple lines of business
  • Background in regulatory-driven workflows (compliance, audit, risk, eligibility, claims, onboarding)
  • Familiarity with PEGA App Studio for collaborative low‑code design with business stakeholders
  • Experience defining process metrics, SLAs, and operational reporting in Pega dashboards
  • Certification such as Pega Business Architect (PCBA) or Pega Senior Business Architect
