Overview: EY is seeking a motivated professional with solid experience in the utilities sector to serve as a Manager who possesses a robust background in Data Architecture, Data Modernization, End‑to‑end Data capabilities, AI, Gen AI, Agentic AI. The ideal candidate will have a power systems / electrical engineering background and have delivered business use cases in Transmission / Distribution / Generation / Customer.

Experience in consulting firms and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced culture are essential.

Your role will involve leading transformative technology projects, managing timelines, costs, and quality, and guiding both technical and non‑technical teams in cutting‑edge solutions. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and deliver one or more processes, solutions, and projects focused on quality and risk management.
  • Drive continuous process improvement and identify innovative solutions through research, analysis, and best practices.
  • Lead and mentor a team of analysts and engineers in designing and implementing data architectures, platforms, and technologies.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior decision makers and internal EY teams, establishing credibility in data strategy and analytic technology solutions.
  • Engage with senior business leaders to understand goals, information needs, and analytical requirements, helping shape data strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Data Scientists, Business Analysts, IT) to define data requirements, design solutions, and implement data strategies that align with client objectives.
  • Lead workshops and design sessions with stakeholders to capture requirements, use cases, and business processes.
  • Design and implement modern data architectures supporting transactional, operational, analytical, and AI solutions.
  • Establish data governance policies and practices, including security, quality, and lifecycle management.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending innovations to enhance EY’s capabilities.
Skills & Attributes For Success
  • Technical skills in Applications Integration, Cloud Computing and Architecture, Data Architecture Design, and Modelling.
  • Experience delivering AI/Agentic AI‑driven data operations and business use cases in the utilities sector.
  • Strong advisory skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and build credibility.
  • Collaboration with cross‑functional teams and leadership of workshops.
  • Design and implementation of modern data architectures, including transactional, operational, analytical, and AI solutions.
  • Mentoring and leadership of global data architecture and engineering teams.
  • Data governance, security, quality, and lifecycle management expertise.
  • Continuous learning and application of emerging data architecture trends.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM.
  • 8+ years of professional consulting experience in industry or technology consulting.
  • 8+ years of hands‑on experience architecting, designing, delivering, or optimizing data lake solutions.
  • 3+ years’ experience with native cloud products such as Azure or GCP.
  • 5+ years of experience mentoring and leading teams of data architects and data engineers.
  • In‑depth knowledge of data architecture principles and best practices.
  • Proven leadership of large data engineering teams designing complex architectures.
  • Expertise in end‑to‑end data pipelines, performance optimization, and scalability.
  • Proficiency in data modelling techniques and architectural design patterns.
  • Experience in containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and Dev Ops practices for data engineering.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of data security, encryption, access control, and compliance.
