This Senior Oracle Database Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated solutions for managing and optimizing Oracle databases within an organization. This role requires a strong knowledge of Oracle database administration, architecture, replication, high‑availability concepts, programming, and automation to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of Oracle database systems.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop and maintain automated solutions for Oracle database technologies
- Design, develop and maintain automated solutions for Oracle database deployments, configuration, backup and recovery, monitoring and performance tuning
- Collaborate with software development teams to integrate Oracle database automation process into the software development cycle
- Implement and maintain Oracle database automation frameworks, tools, and scripts to streamline database operations and enhance efficiency
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the Oracle database environment and propose innovative solutions
- Perform troubleshooting and resolving Oracle database‑related issues in collaboration with cross‑functional teams, including system administrators, developers, and network engineers
- Ensure high availability and optimal performance of production Oracle databases through effective automation strategies and monitoring techniques
- Conduct regular performance analysis and capacity planning to optimize Oracle database resources
