Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Developer

Position: Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - 1, Developer
* Complete intermediate end to end engineering tasks for specific system assignments including developing, analyzing, configuring, testing, debugging, troubleshooting, documenting, health monitoring/alerting, and implementing based on user or system design specifications, as well as participating in troubleshooting, conducting impact analysis and escalating appropriately.
* Writes and supports Infrastructure-As-Code within an approved pipeline and adheres to best practices and standards.
* Support and develop cloud automatiuon of manual tasks for improved speed and consistency.  This includes AWS account Automation used to provision standard and shared AWS accounts, enable services and guardrails within them, and maintain their infrastructure and details.
* Identify and implement opportunities to improve and optimize Travelers’ environment, through tactical recommendations and strategic plans, working collaboratively with teams across technology organizations.
* Define and implement technical requirements for Cloud solutions using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) methodologies.
* Design cloud deployment automation workflows while performing analysis and resolution for infrastructure issues of intermediate complexity.
* Configure and optimize cloud-based compute, storage, and networking resources ensuring efficiency, availability, and performance.
* Implement monitoring systems for Cloud while ensuring adherence to security protocols and compliance requirements.
* Collaborate with Technology Engineers to ensure seamless integration between infrastructure services and higher-level platform services.
* Work independently on well-scoped Cloud engineering problems while prioritizing according to business objectives.
* Contribute to the Cloud roadmap by identifying emerging technologies and services that align with business objectives.
* Work across technology stack boundaries.
* May perform occasional off-hour work on nights and weekends.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Developing delivery skills including the ability to participate in infrastructure team planning, learn to estimate infrastructure work efforts, assist in the applicaiton of designated infrastrcuture design strategy and methodology, test infrastructure changes following relevant examples including automation, take ownership of infrastructure components after deployment, quickly addressing issues as they arise, and collect and incorporate feedback throughout the process.

* Knowledge of infrastructure technologies such as Network, Database, Server, Storage etc. preferred.
