Foster Care/AdoptionWork directly as a member of the permanency team, as well as therapeutic foster and adoptive parents within the program by completing home studies and re‑approvals in a timely and efficient manner. Works collaboratively with the Department of Children and Families as it relates to Permanency Services. Enters Placement Program (PPSP) contracts. Conducts SEARCHES by assisting and guiding clients who request non‑identifying information and/or inquire about initiating the full search process for birth family and/or birth child.
JOBSUMMARY
The Clinician provides direct services to clients, in the office, school, or other identified setting to meet the unique needs of families served. Unlicensed clinicians are hired prior to obtaining their license to practice as mental health practitioners (i.e., psychology, social work, LMFT, LPC, LADC). Unlicensed clinicians will receive supervision by a licensed clinician and may be offered training opportunities. When eligible, all unlicensed clinicians are expected to obtain licensure to be considered for ongoing employment at The Village.
Starting annual salary $54,000
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and engagement.
- Determine DSM V Diagnosis in consultation with Supervisor and Medical Director or designated Psychiatrist, as needed.
- Develop treatment plans and contracts for services.
- Implement treatment plans, modifying it as appropriate during treatment.
- Discharge planning, which may include linkages to community support services.
- Provide case management services.
- Complete clinical documentation required by agency and program policies, HIPAA regulations, and funding sources.
- Maintain productivity targets determined by service.
EDUCATION
- MSW or equivalent required with a minimum of 3 years’ post graduate clinical experience preferred.
- Clinical degree in social work, psychology, or other licensed‑eligible counseling degree
- LMSW or equivalent required and licensed eligible
