OverviewProvides clinic and school based therapy to children and families presenting with a broad range of clinical diagnoses and presenting needs. Services include individual and family therapy, parent skills training, risk assessments and crisis management, trauma informed treatment, case management and advocacy. Participates in treatment plan development and modification during the course of service. Services are provided in collaboration with DCF, schools, PCPs, and other community-based providers as needed.
Clinicians attend weekly supervision and multidisciplinary team activities and ensure documentation meets licensing, accreditation, Medicaid/DCF, and best practice standards. Opportunities exist for training in evidence-based models and support is given for use with identified clients and families.
Starting salary and incentive information
Starting annual salary: $54,000, commensurate with experience
Sign-on bonus and monthly incentives: $5,000

This is a Licensed Eligible position.

- Conducts comprehensive clinical assessments and engagement
- Determines DSM V Diagnosis in consultation with Supervisor and Medical Director or designated Psychiatrist, as needed
- Develops treatment plans and contracts for services
- Implements treatment plans, modifying it as appropriate during the course of treatment
- Discharge planning, which may include linkages to community support services
- Provides case management services
- Completes clinical documentation required by agency and program policies, HIPAA regulations, and funding sources
- Maintains productivity targets determined by service
EDUCATION
- MSW or equivalent required with a minimum of 3 years’ post graduate clinical experience preferred
- Clinical degree in social work, psychology, or other licensed-eligible counseling degree
- LMSW or equivalent required and licensed eligible
EXPERIENCE
- Must be able to function independently and be able to seek guidance when necessary
- Strong diagnostic, assessment and treatment skills for individual, family and group therapy
- Extensive experience working with culturally diverse urban populations, a wide age range, and a variety of clinical presentations;
Cultural competency to serve a diverse population - Knowledge of mental health, child welfare systems, and community resources
- Ability to write professional/clinical reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and web browsers effectively
