Location: 81 Retreat Ave HH Core Bldg (10067)

Shift: Evening hours with rotating weekends and rotating holidays required. Openings available across all shifts.

Hartford Hospital is actively hiring Patient Care Technician (PCT) for our Specialty Medical Nursing Units
.

• Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Patient Care Technician performs delegated functions as a member of a patient care team to provide a variety of services such as activities of daily living, vital signs, EKGs, and glucose checks.
• These activities contribute to meeting the health care, safety and comfort needs of patients, and are performed in accordance with all existing regulatory and hospital standards, policies and procedures.
• Reports to Unit Manager.

• No experience required, training provided on-site.
• Successful completion of PCT specific HHC orientation.
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 2 months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Some relevant experience in an acute care hospital environment.
• Current certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Certification as a CNA, CPCT/A, EMT or CMA to be eligible for advancement in the PCT clinical ladder.
